A bright, modern flat in the Marina di Bari Sardo area, set in quiet and striking surroundings where the countryside meets the coast. The beach at Torre di Barì is about 400 metres away, five minutes on foot. If you arrive by car, the Borgo has free private parking. Locally the area is known as Corte Accas: via dei Corbezzoli is a new street name that many people still do not use, so we send you the exact map location along with your booking confirmation. Here the sea and the countryside really do live a few steps apart.

Inside it is spare and airy, with large glazed doors and a terrace looking out over the green and the hills — somewhere to stop and watch the sky at sunset. Two separate bedrooms, a living room with a Smart TV and Netflix, a well-equipped kitchen and a full bathroom with a large shower and a washing machine. Wi-Fi and air conditioning complete the picture.

Outside is where the living really happens: the terrace for eating in the open air and, on the level below, the private garden with a gazebo, sun loungers, a solar shower and a barbecue — made for summer evenings.

The nearest supermarket is about three and a half kilometres away; in season there is also a small shop and a newsagent with tobacco and sundries close by. There is little traffic around and no nightlife: what you hear is the wind, the sounds of the country and the slow rhythm of the days.

This is a house for anyone who wants the sea without the crowds — for breakfast outdoors, for coming back from the beach, rinsing off and enjoying a glass of wine at sunset. A small oasis to recover from a year of rushing.
